Thank you to everyone who attended our Catalyst conference this week, and a special shout-out to all those who helped bring this event to life — especially our partners at @CalSTRS.

We heard from dozens of high-impact speakers over two days and multiple panels, as they touched on some of the investment industry's most pressing issues today.

Beyond the conversations themselves, we hope we provided a place for emerging and diverse managers to learn, network, and walk away with actionable insights on how to grow their businesses and break through barriers in this challenging space.

Catalyst is meant to connect and bring people together, and we're proud so many were able to do just that by participating in what turned out to be a transformative experience.

Construction on our Lincoln Plaza North building — which serves as our headquarters here in Sacramento — was completed in 1986, and much has changed nearly 40 years later.

While the campus looks different today, the mission remains the same. Administering retirement and health benefits for our members is what we did then, and what we continue to do now. It's also what we'll do for generations to come.

During this year's #PublicServiceRecognitionWeek, CalPERS leadership got a chance to reflect on the meaning of public service — and even demonstrated a bit of it live.

As a way to acknowledge the contributions of our many team members, senior executives and leaders got behind a kitchen counter and handed out midday snacks to folks at our Sacramento headquarters.

It's a healthy reminder — CalPERS serves those who serve California, even within our own ranks.
