💡 Did you know CalPERS reviews its long-term retirement planning every four years?

This process is called the Asset Liability Management (ALM) cycle, and it helps us ensure you receive lifetime retirement benefits.

This year’s review may lead to updates affecting:
✔️ Retirement benefit options (for those that retire on or after November 20)
✔️ Service credit purchase costs
✔️ PEPRA member contribution rates (starting July 2027)

Final decisions are expected to be made at the Nov. 17–19 Board meetings. We’ll share what it means for you in December.
