All sorts of issues can pop up by using your work email — or a shared email — to conduct business with CalPERS.

If you’re using myCalPERS to conduct CalPERS business, be sure to only use your personal email. Having this information on file helps us contact or respond to you as quickly as possible.

In addition, using a work email to conduct CalPERS business is neither confidential, nor the best way to reach you directly.

And if you’re married or in a domestic partnership, use separate personal email addresses for your myCalPERS accounts so we can contact the correct person.

Updating Your Email Is Easy

If you need to update your myCalPERS personal contact information, simply log in to myCalPERS and follow these three steps:

  • Choose My Account.
  • Click on Contact Information.
  • Choose Change Your Email and follow the instructions.
