The 25th CalPERS Educational Forum is right around the corner, which means the nomination period is now open for the Spotlight on Excellence Award.
What Is the Spotlight on Excellence Award?
The Spotlight on Excellence Award helps shine a light on the work our CalPERS members do—the people who may go unnoticed, even as they work behind the scenes to provide essential services and infrastructure support to our communities, protect us 24/7, and keep our schools and school services operating. The annual award recognizes those who stand out from the crowd, an exemplary public agency, a specific program, or an individual employee for excellence and innovation who has:
- Exhibited the spirit of what it means to be of service to the public
- Served as a model other agencies or employees can follow
- A proven track record of success in building up their community

How to Submit a Nomination
Simply complete the online nomination form by Friday, July 12, at 5:00 p.m. It’s a quick and easy process.
The 2024 award recipient will be honored in October at the 25th CalPERS Educational Forum, and have their story shared online through our PERSpective news and social media channels.
All nominees must represent a CalPERS contracting agency.
