Sometimes you miss important emails. It happens.
Whether the email gets buried under newer messages or gets filtered to a subfolder, it can be difficult to access every email you need.
We want to make sure you’re getting the most critical news, updates, and resources related to CalPERS and your benefits. So, how can you access every email you need, especially from your most important senders?
While not every email client (Gmail, Outlook, AOL, etc.) is alike, here are some general steps to add a sender to your address book. This should help ensure the email reaches your inbox rather than your spam folder. These steps should work whether you’re on your phone or a PC.
- Open an email from a trusted sender.
- Hover over or click the email address at the top of the email.
- Select “Add to contacts” or “Add to safe senders list.”
If that process doesn’t work, try this:
- Open an email from a trusted sender.
- Look for a “More actions” or “Settings” dropdown menu, usually at the top-right of the email.
- Select “Add to contacts” or “Add to safe senders list.”
