Health Benefits

Open Enrollment Starts September 18 and Ends October 13

It’s the time of year to enroll in or make changes to your health, vision, or dental plans, add eligible dependents, or delete dependents.

Take this time to review your health coverage and shop health plans.

Where to start

Log in to your myCalPERS account to access customized Open Enrollment information and resources:

  • View your Health Plan Statement, which lists the monthly 2024 premium should you remain with the same health plan, as well as dependents on your plan, and other important information. Use A Guide to Understanding Your Health Plan Statement to help you navigate your statement.
  • Use the Search Health Plans tool to explore and shop health plans based on your eligibility ZIP code, search for your doctors and specialists, review side-by-side benefit costs, and view member health plan satisfaction ratings.

New this year, members enrolled in Basic plans can include a medical group in their search, and Medicare members can search for their Medicare doctor.

Before making any plan changes, check with the health plan or doctor’s office to verify doctor availability in the health plan.
