If you have attended a CBEE, you no doubt gained valuable benefits information. But you also gave us valuable information as well.
Based on your feedback, we created two new resources to enhance your CBEE experience.
First, we created a checklist that helps you plan how to get the most out of your day at the CBEE. View or download the CBEE checklist or visit our CBEE Calendar page.
The checklist helps you prepare by providing solutions to some of the bottlenecks past attendees have shared through feedback. These bottlenecks include trouble logging in to your myCalPERS account, not understanding if you are eligible for CalPERS health benefits, and what to bring if you want to have a productive conversation with a Social Security representative.
Second, we improved our CBEE class materials. Prior to 2020, class presentation slide decks were posted on our website, and attendees were encouraged to download or print them before attending the event classes.
From the feedback you provided, we stopped posting the slide decks and instead created a class information summary, or learning guide. Each learning guide contains content from the classes in written form, which reduces note taking and provides concise information that you can refer to and use later.
