Members tell us about the care and service they received in the previous 12 months and rate their level of satisfaction with their health plan. Comparing these results can help you and your family make informed health plan decisions during Open Enrollment. The satisfaction ratings are included in the Search Results while using the Search Health Plans tool to compare health plans in myCalPERS.
The health plan ratings are ranked from 0 to 10, 0 being the worst health plan possible and 10 being the best health plan possible. For the 2021 plan year, Basic health plan members rated their plans an average of 7.9 out of 10 for satisfaction. Medicare members gave their plans an average of 9.0 out of 10. Member satisfaction ratings for each health plan are illustrated below.
The survey is a valuable tool that we use to evaluate our health plans’ performance and our members’ satisfaction. Next year, the survey will begin in January and if selected, we encourage you to participate.
