We’ve launched a new tool that allows all active members to submit most health enrollment changes, along with supporting documentation, online through their myCalPERS account. California State Universities (CSU) remain excluded.
With employer approval and a qualifying event, eligible active members, which includes public agencies, schools, state, and non-central state agencies, can now:
- Enroll themselves and any eligible dependents into health benefits.
- Add or remove dependents.
- Change health plans.
- Recertify a parent-child relationship.
- Cancel coverage.
Qualifying events include the birth of a child, marriage or divorce, and other events that can be found under the Special Enrollment Opportunities section of the Eligibility and Enrollment webpage.
Beginning in September 2022, active members will be able to submit any Open Enrollment changes online.
