CalPERS March 2020 Board Meeting Preview
This month the CalPERS Board will meet Monday, March 16, to Wednesday, March 18, at CalPERS Headquarters (400 Q Street, Sacramento, California).
The board meetings are open to the public. You can also stream the meetings via the CalPERS website. In addition, a recording will be posted to the CalPERS YouTube channel approximately 72 hours after the meeting ends.
Full agendas are posted on our website, but here is a brief overview of the items the board will hear this month:
On Monday, March 16, the Investment Committee will elect a chair and vice chair. The committee will also hear the Trust Level Review. This review, presented by the board’s consultant, Wilshire Associates, provides a performance report of the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund (PERF) and Affiliate Funds.
On Tuesday, March 17, the Pension & Health Benefits Committee will elect a chair and vice chair. The committee will also discuss Healthcare Competition. CalPERS is researching the effects of insufficient competition within its health plan offerings and possible strategies to address it. Also, on tap for the committee is a report on the cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) increase for all eligible retirees coming this May.
On Wednesday, March 18, an update on Board Governance efforts will be provided.

The board will meet again on Monday, April 20, and Tuesday, April 21, at the CalPERS Headquarters in Sacramento.
